Welcome to the Website of Lisa Rosenberg, L.C.S.W., Certified Grief Recovery Specialist®, Individual, Couple and Family Therapist. EMDR provider.
I have a Masters in Social Work from Hunter College School of Social Work and a Post-Masters Certification in family and couples therapy from the Ackerman Institute for the Family.
I am a Proud Member of National Registry of Marriage Friendly Therapists.
I am also a Grief Recovery Specialist®, certified by The Grief Recovery Institute in California, which has over 35 years of history helping people recover from grief and loss.
As a therapist, one of my missions is to help you recognize that while your experiences–your fears, your losses, your triumphs–are unique, you are not alone.
Whether you’re a parent struggling to connect with your angry teen, a teenager enduring grueling college-prep stress, or a couple faced with infidelity, we’ll start where you are and through our connection, work our way through the stumbling blocks to a happier, more harmonious place.
We all see the world through the lens of our collective experiences. The roles we play in our lives—in my case, psychotherapist, mother, daughter, wife, friend, writer—shape those experiences. The posts you will find here reflect my own therapist’s worldview and will include anecdotes from my professional as well as my personal life (all names changed, identifying information altered, all confidentiality protected, of course). These are my musings as well as my opinions, an occasional blog, that will include several repostings from my general blog. I’ll be addressing parenting and life-cycle issues, eating disorders and body image issues, loss, and ethnic identity. I practice psychotherapy in Montclair, New Jersey. If you have a question for me, or would like to make an appointment, please use my CONTACT PAGE. Please specify if you are interested in beginning your journey to Grief Recovery.
Congratulations on your new blog and returning to your career. How exciting for you!
Thanks Monica!
